In October 2014,  Le Cordon Bleu Sydney were delighted to welcome 2012 Diplôme de Pâtisserie alumna and Hans Schings award winner, Jane Tan as their guest speaker at the graduation ceremony, held at the Shangri-La Sydney.
Jane inspired the cohort of graduating students with her story of hard work and passion. She recounted her experiences in class and how the Chef lecturers at Le Cordon Bleu inspired her during her study annd how they still continue to inform her work.
Now running her own business,  Pretty Delicious, based in Singapore, Jane counts Chanel among some of her clients. Great results after only her first year of operation!
This year, Jane also won first prize in the inaugural SCS Dairy Star Baker’s Challenge and as part of her prize, she was able to travel back to Australia. She took time out of her personal schedule to address students on campus and to speak at the graduation. Jane was thrilled to meet her Chef Lecturers again and in particular, Chef Andre Sandison who helped inspire her whilst they worked together on the winning team during the Asian Pastry Cup.
