Lachan Clyne, Guest Speaker Adelaide Graduation August 2014

On 30th August 2014, Le Cordon Bleu welcomed our most recent cohort of graduating students from the Bachelor and Master's programs in Adelaide.

Guest speaker for the evening was 2008 Bachelor of Business alumnus and Mayor of the City of Unley, Lachlan Clyne.

Mayor Clyne inspired graduands and guests by recounting his memories from his student days, including the times when he questioned his choice of career, even deferring his studies at one point in second year.

Re-evaluating his long-term direction, he realised that majoring in hospitality management was akin to the direction he wanted to pursue in community services. Lachlan recommenced his studies going on to complete his Degree and graduating in 2008. Fate led him to meet his now-fiancé and fellow student, Jocelyn Genevieve!

Realising his passion to serve in local government, in 2010 Lachlan was elected as Mayor of Unley, boasting the title of the youngest Mayor in the council’s 108 year history! In addition to his local community and council obligations, Lachlan is an avid supporter of local business.
